Volunteer Opportunities

Friends of Cabin John Creek offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Conservation & Outdoor Education

  • Annual Stream Clean-Ups (Spring/Fall)

We need volunteers to lead or work at litter removal events at sites throughout the watershed.

  • Invasive Plant Removal (Summer)

We are looking for an Event Leader to restart our Weed Warrior program, removing invasive plants from the creek banks.  County training is available.

Public Awareness

  • FoCJC Ambassador (All Year)

We need enthusiastic volunteers who would like to represent and promote FoCJC at community events.  Training and all table display materials provided in advance.

  • Photographer (All Year)

Help us document and share our events.

  • Social Media Promoter (All Year)

Help us get the word out about FoCJC online!

  • Watershed Advocate (All Year)

Have an issue or topic of interest related to the watershed that you would like to share?  We are always looking for volunteers to share their expertise.

If you'd like to volunteer or learn more, contact us at info@cabinjohncreek.org.
