RainScapes Garden Tour
Saturday, June 3 & Sunday, June 4
10 am - 5 pm
Spend an hour exploring RainScapes projects at the homes of neighbors who have already taken the plunge!

Thinking of making your yard more watershed-friendly? Tired of heavy rains creating a river running through your yard? See what can you do to manage rainwater on your property and improve the quality of local waterways as they drain into the Chesapeake Bay. Take a Self-Guided Tour of RainScapes Projects in our area. This educational event will feature a local rain garden experts and provide opportunities to see stormwater management projects in the Cabin John Creek watershed.
RainScapes are areas of your yard that capture and filter rainwater, which helps keep pollutants out of streams and creeks. Montgomery County has RainScapes Rewards program to help you plan your own RainScapes project and defray the costs. On this tour, you can learn all about RainScapes and what you can do to help keep your watershed clean.
We hope that this event will help you decide whether a RainScpes Project is right for you!
