EcoMovie: Upstream, Downriver - Fresh Water. Imagine a Day Without It...

Sunday, March 26, 2023, 4:00pm – 5:30 pm

Josiah Henson Museum  11410 Old Georgetown Road

  • Learn why fresh water and advocacy is so important

  • Discussion afterwards with filmmaker Marissa Woods and Nancy Stoner (President, Potomac Riverkeeper Network)

Friends of Cabin John Creek and Luxmanor Citizens Association invite you to a FREE showing of Upstream, Downriver.  This 30-minute environmental documentary takes viewers into the heart of the battle for water justice. Powerful stories with frontline community activists are interwoven with historical context about landmark regulations that significantly reduced water pollution in the U.S. but failed to serve disadvantaged communities that are hardest hit by today’s climate crisis.

Please join in the discussion that follows the screening, which will include filmmaker Marissa Woods and Nancy Stoner, president of the Potomac Riverkeeper Network.
