  • Discussion afterwards with filmmaker Catherine Zimmerman

Friends of Cabin John Creek, the Little Falls Watershed Alliance, and Muddy Branch Alliance, invite you to a FREE showing of Hometown Habitat - Stories of Bringing Nature Home.  This 90-minute environmental documentary focuses on how and why native plants are critical to the survival and vitality of local ecosystems, and aims to encourage everyone to include native plants in our gardens.  Hometown Habitat spotlights renowned native plant proponent Dr. Douglas Tallamy, featured in this week's Washington Post!  The seven Hometown Habitat Heroes profiled in the film will inspire you with their commitment to conservation landscaping and illustrate Tallamy’s vision of humans and nature co-existing for mutual benefit.

Please join in the discussion that follows the screening, which will include filmmaker Catherine Zimmerman and Montgomery County RainScapes Program Manager Ann English.
